TRG Seymour’s Supports Dorel Juvenile Group
TRG Seymour’s supports their community by sponsoring the Dorel Juvenile Group’s annual golf tournament, this year marks 15 years! The annual golf tournament benefitted three great charities- D.A.R.E., Shop with a Cop Program, and Columbus Foundation for Youth. Founded in 1983, D.A.R.E., which stands for Drug Abuse Resistance Education, strives to teach students good decision-making skills to help them lead safe and healthy lives. Their empowering vision is: “A world in which students everywhere are empowered to respect others and choose to lead lives free from violence, substance use, and other dangerous behaviors.”
Shop with a Cop Program is an event where police officers help underprivileged children and families within a local community. During the time of the event, the officers chaperone the children while they buy any items of their choosing in the store.
The Columbus Foundation for Youth strives to make a difference in the lives of youth with economical disadvantages in the neighborhoods of Columbus. This is achieved by “providing healthy, positive opportunities to learn life lessons through recreation and sports.”
On top of contributing to these impactful charities, TRG also won the tournament! Talk about a hole-in-one!
